International Conferences

Conferences are an opportunity to present the results obtained mainly through research and scientific work, as well as a chance to establish new contacts for cooperation and discussion of addressed issues. The faculty itself is an initiator of the International Congress of Precision Machining – ICPM. The congress was first held in Ústí nad Labem in 2001, involving
nine European countries, subsequently held in Prague, Vienna, Kielce and the High Tatras.

Another international conference organized by the faculty is Dynamics of Rigid and Deformable Bodies Conference (DTDT). A number of top scientists from the Czech Republic and abroad regularly participate in the conference, also including the the Academy of Sciences of the CR.

Aluminium conference has become the very successful one, held for many years by Alcan Děčín company. The faculty has participated in the organization since 2007 and became its main organizational body in 2009. The last years of the conference were attended by a significant number of professionals in Staré Splavy.

The third annual international conference ICTKI – International Conference of Technological Knowledge and Information was organized in January 2010. Every year, the conference welcomes almost a hundred participants from European countries, the last two annual conferences were held
in Děčín and opened by the initial group of town, university and professional association representatives.

The faculty was charged with organizing the European Conference of Technical Education IGIP in 2009. The faculty handled the task excellently and hosted almost a hundred branch representatives. Negotiations were at a high level, attended by the Austrian honorary president of IGIP.
Academics themselves often participate in international conferences and congresses in the Czech Republic and abroad. They usually present their results, discuss other possible approaches and establish important contacts. Conferences in Spain, the Slovak Republic, Poland, Slovenia, the U.S., and Italy to name but a few.
